Portia EQ

This stunning filly carries a rare combination of some very prominent dam and sire lines. Two of the top producing Egyptian mares ever, RDM Maar Hala and Bint Magidaa, are in her third generation. She also has the blood of the immortal Hanan, through her sire Majiid and also coming from Jamilll through her paternal grand dam Ali Jamila. The prominent stallions in her pedigree are too numerous to list!

Hanan (now deceased) is one of the most influential straight egyptian mares world wide - brought to Germany from Egypt by Hans Nagel of Katerinoff Stud. Her first son, Jamilll, was leased by Judi Forbis of AnsataArabian Stud in the US. Another of her sons, Asfour, was the head sire of Simeon Stud (Marion Richmond) in Australia - Asfour died last year. Hanan's influence, along with that of her paternal sister Magidaa - is immeasurable! Their sire,  Alaa El Dine was a most influential sire!

An example of the descandants of Alaa El Dine is Ruminaja Ali, plus his son Anaza El Farid ( by Bint Deena) - Ali, and his son Anaza El Farid, have sired or grandsired stallions such as The Minstril, Ali Jamaal, Thee Desperado, Al Adeed Al Shaqab, Ghazal Al Shaqab and Maarwan Al Shaqab. It is a very amazing family!

Portia has excellent promise as both a halter contestant and as a broodmare.
